About Alexander Bray

Darren Alexander Bray began his career with an apprenticeship under Richard Morris, supplier of furniture to, amongst others, Heal's in London. Richard Morris trained at Parnham College, run by the famous craftsman John Makepeace OBE and Richard passed this standard of craftsmanship to Darren who was already showing a distinct talent.

Darren then went on to study Cabinet Making at the London School of Furniture to formally ground his early training and further develop his passion for his craft. It was here that he furthered his knowledge of bespoke design, creating quality handmade furniture and beginning his work on designing and building bespoke kitchens.

Following his training Darren undertook many roles fitting kitchens and building furniture in a number of different settings each time further expanding his experience and skills. He was becoming highly sought after and his reputation was preceding him, so on word of mouth alone Darren decided to set up on his own.

Now recognized as the premier cabinet maker in Essex he has steadily built a reputation of quality and service that surpasses others in his field. Although based in Essex his work has taken him all over the South of England, having won contracts in many notable houses and estates.

Despite his success Darren still personally works on every project, from bespoke kitchen, to fitted kitchens to handmade furniture and ensures that all his apprentices work to his standards. He sees this as important to maintain the quality that his name has been built on and it is this ethic that is carried through to customer service and design.

Darren personally sees every customer to work through the design with them, often several designs until they are totally happy. This personal touch continues through every stage of design, build and installation to ensure the results are exactly what you want.
